About Yoga in Hornsby
I am a Senior level teacher and qualified yoga therapist.
Yoga is my passion as it helps bring balance and rewire our neural pathways, changing negative to positive and growing or learning to live to our full potential.
I am also an Ayurveda Lifestyle consultant, hypnobirthing consultant, and more recently a remedial massage therapist.
I have been practising yoga for 30 years and teaching for 12 years.

A class typically has a 10-minute relaxation or meditative practice, followed by about 45-50 minutes of asanas (postures).
You will be shown some breathing techniques (pranayama) which are also used throughout the practice, finishing with deep meditative relaxation (yoga Nidra) with some deeper meditative practices such as the early stages of Antar Mouna (inner silence) and deeper stages of Kaya Stherium being offered in the progressive beginner classes.
The class will be focused on releasing mental, emotional, and physical tensions as well as gradually and safely developing balance, strength, and flexibility of the entire body, mind, and spirit.
This class is aimed at total well-being, not just physical being.
In my classes, once the basic postures are learned, practitioners are encouraged to synchronise the breath and movement which helps internalise and direct awareness during practice increasing the benefits.
