About Budokai Australia
Forty-four years ago, I started a journey to find the ultimate fighting art and through Australia and East Asia, I found numerous combative arts that appealed to me.
I practised three different styles of karate, another style of aikido and jujutsu.
Traditional Asian fighting arts are designed to practise into old age and maintain a disciple’s freedom – whether it be making you healthier or more confident.
We teach complete, separate systems, not bits and pieces, and our teachings are not designed to make you a street fighter, but rather a well-rounded, healthy individual who is capable of defending him or herself in times of need.

I have a lot of experience as a student which I wish to share with more than just my 3 most senior students and my kids.
I don’t have a lot of years left and offer what I have to any true seekers of “the way.”
