About Cook With Pranee
I was born in Thailand and moved to Australia with my mum and siblings when my mum re-married.
If mum feels homesick, she cooks Thai food and she was homesick often so there was always food.
As a family, we were held together by our mutual love of food and John Hughes movies.
We may have left Thailand but through our cooking, Thailand never left us.

We may have left Thailand but through our cooking, Thailand never left us.
Our mum opened a stall at the local market selling Thai food, then moved to a mobile food truck (before it was cool), then to a food court at the local shopping centre, and finally a restaurant on the main street.
We grew up working in the family business.
While other kids were riding and playing in the street, we were prepping to roll a thousand spring rolls for the weekend market or the food court.
At the time we hated it but now with my family and my love to feed, I look back with gratitude that mum taught us so well and cooking is as natural as breathing.
Some of you might relate to this - when I wake up I don't think "what's on the agenda for my day," I think "what's on the menu?" I hope to share my passion for food and teach you some neat tricks to make life easier too.
