Children learn genuine Japanese karate in structured classes, helping essential Shitoryu karate movements become second nature, all the way to the black belt.

We promote learning over competitive sports, but opportunities are open to students interested in this particular aspect of Karatedo.
At OKUKAN, we endeavour to assess each student’s performance objectively and individually, encouraging fair participation and helping each student reach their potential.
Learning activities designed in our school will promote a social environment where members of our community are treated with courtesy and care regardless of gender, ability, cultural background or religion, including students, parents, guests, and staff members.
