About Kuro Obi Martial Arts
You will be joining a large international organisation with over 50 member countries, with a uniform and structured international syllabus all the way up to a 3rd-degree black belt.
Through our affiliations with local and international bodies, you will have opportunities to compete in tournaments (to practice what you learn) and training camps (to refine what you learn) both in Australia and overseas, where you get to meet, mingle and share our abilities with martial artists of many other styles and cultures.
Shihan Shah started teaching Kyokushin karate in 1995 when he began teaching at Newtown North Public School while still a brown belt.
He is now the chief instructor for Kuro Obi Martial Arts, and personally teaches most of the classes.

In September 2015, he received his 5th Dan black belt from Hanshi Steve Arneil, under the auspices of the International Federation of Karate.
Since 2017 he has been the President of IFK Australia Inc and has been working hard toward the promotion and development of the organisation.
