About Rackley Swimming
We have a long and proud history at Rackley Swimming.
It all began in 1951, with the Rackley family managing the Burleigh Beach Baths pool at Burleigh Heads.
Back then, the pool was outdoors, directly above the rocks at Burleigh point — similar to the famous Sydney Icebergs pool.
The family then took a break from swimming schools until 1998, when the modern era of Rackley Swimming began.

Back then, the pool was outdoors, directly above the rocks at Burleigh point — similar to the famous Sydney Icebergs pool.
The family then took a break from swimming schools until 1998, when the modern era of Rackley Swimming began.
Going back to where it all started, the family opened a single swim school at Burleigh Beach Baths.
The school was opened by Trevor Rackley.
Having spent his childhood at the Burleigh Beach Baths, Trevor knew how to provide the local community with an effective and quality swim school.
A few years later, once Trevor had retired, the business continued to grow.
To ensure he remains part of the school’s legacy, his sons named the Rackley Swimming mascot in his honor.
Now, Trevor, the Turtle has a special place in the history and values of Rackley Swimming.
