The word “Sanuk” in the Thai language means "to have a good time, to have fun, to enjoy oneself and to derive pleasure and joy from something. " It is almost a rule of living for Thai people that whatever they do, it has to be Sanuk. At Sanuk Jiu Jitsu, our goal is to provide a positive environment for learning, training, and relationships. Chep pioneered the first BJJ academy in Hervey Bay Queensland in 2011.

Chep pioneered the first BJJ academy in Hervey Bay Queensland in 2011. He spent many years building his club and helping others on the same journey as more and more people began training in BJJ. Chep spent many hours over the years teaching, learning, competing, and developing himself by travelling to train with other coaches in Maryborough, the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, and Melbourne. In 2017, Chep was awarded his black belt in BJJ from Peter de Been.
