Shirudo Self Defence Academy is first and foremost a family-based martial art, that provides a choice of the most diverse martial arts programs in Australia today with a very strong team of winning competitors as instructors and coaches as well as students alike. We are a hybrid martial art that was founded in 2012 by Shihan Paul Mikel, 5th Degree Black Belt and his Son Liam who is the head MMA coach of Shirudo and an extremely experienced martial artist who has been studying many forms of martial arts from the age of 5. As a Father and Son team, they have established Shirudo as the premier martial arts academy in the Hills District.
