This is what I put on
Conservatoire-trained myself, I have an extensive performing and teaching career, including opera, early/baroque music and musical theatre.
I teach a classical technique with a focus on breathwork, and which incorporates vocal health, strength, resonance, power, stamina and flexibility, allowing the student to safely sing any genre they choose.
My students range from cathedral choristers (Y4 upwards), and singer-songwriters to mature rock singers (60+) and professional opera singers.
I can help you to overcome whatever obstacles may be holding you back - vocal injury, confidence, difficulty with high notes, running out of breath and vocal tiredness are some of the more common reasons people choose me as their teacher.

Most importantly, singing is fun and has a huge impact on our physical and mental well-being.

Here's an example :- Pam called me wanting lessons.
As a child, she'd been told to "just mime" in the school choir which had understandably wrecked her confidence.
Now 70+, she was tackling her "bucket-list".
She told me she dearly wanted to be able to sing Danny Boy, but believed she was "tone deaf" and "unteachable".
Her voice certainly had character thanks to years of smoking.
But with lots of breathwork, and dedicated practice, she knocked Danny Boy out of the water in 2 months.
By the end of 6 months, she was dipping her toe into opera.
Another few months on, and she was singing Carmen's arias and winning talent competitions.
Covid altered my perception of online learning, and I discovered that many students flourished.
Living in a rural community, for example, shouldn't be a barrier to having access to top quality tuition, so my new mission is to provide online and affordable lessons for anyone, anywhere.
As Ella Fitzgerald famously said, "the only thing better than singing is more singing.
