Playing the famous Indian tabla requires a great deal of hand, wrist, and finger dexterity. An experienced tabla teacher will introduce you to the two drums that make up the instrument and show you how to make some of the tabla’s basic sounds (bols).
As you progress, you’ll learn to produce a wider range of bols (including the famous moving bass line) using different finger and hand striking positions.
