Learn to play the harmonium with an experienced teacher. Harmonium lessons cover three areas: learning notes and keyboard, operating the pump and bellows, and playing Hindustani classical music.
Your harmonium teacher will begin your lessons with an overview of the instrument’s anatomy and structure. You’ll learn the notes and techniques for producing sound and dynamics with the bellows. You may choose to learn traditional harmonium repertoire but many students learn to play the harmonium for traditional yoga, kirtans, and meditation.
